Europa League, here we come.

“Celtic is far more than a football club. The traditions, the history, the warmth. You have to experience it every day to really understand this.” – Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink

Today, my second team, Celtic found out their fate in the Europa League and it came with a bit of a surprise. We were placed into the same pot as my Danish team, FC Copenhagen, and English Premier League side Everton FC which meant we couldn’t be drawn against each other (thank God) when it came to it and we ended up with Hamburger SV, Rapid Vienna and Hapoel Tel-Aviv in our group. FC Copenhagen didn’t get it so easy either and will play PSV Eindhoven, Sparta Prague and CFR Cluj in their group.

Both Celtic and FC Copenhagen started out life in the Champions League but only got as far as the play-offs, which meant their fate now lies in the hands of the Europa League. Let’s wait and see what happens now…
